Teen Advisory Board

The Bethel Park Public Library welcomes teens in grades 7 and up to join the Teen Advisory Board and share their ideas and talents!  TAB is a group of teen volunteers who aim to help the Library and the community, take an active leadership role in implementing programs and services, and earn volunteer credit while doing it!  The TAB is also encouraged to share their opinions on books, materials, and Library space.

In addition to sharing their thoughts on how to improve the Library, members of the Teen Advisory Board strive to help with at least three programs or events each year. With a vast array of programs to choose from, teens can tailor their own interests and abilities to their volunteer experiences, making it enjoyable for all those involved.

TAB meets in-person four times per year, typically at the start of each new season.  We believe food fuels thought, so snacks are provided at each meeting!  In addition to the four meetings, regular emails are sent to the group, advising them of upcoming volunteer opportunities.

The Teen Advisory Board gives teens an opportunity to learn transferable work skills, develop their interpersonal skills, and connect with other community members, both young and old.  Teens will develop valuable life skills as well as their self-confidence along the way!

The application can be found below.  A valid email address is required.  School email accounts generally don't work.  TAB members should check their email regularly for important announcements and updates.
