Take Route 19 North to Fort Couch Road at South Hills Village.

Turn right onto Fort Couch Road.

At the 5th traffic light, turn left onto Bethel Church Road.

At the 3rd traffic light, turn right onto Highland Avenue.

At the 2nd stop sign, turn right onto West Library Avenue.

The Bethel Park Public Library is located in the upper level of the Municipal Building.

North & East

Take Route 51 South to Route 88 South

Go approximately 6 miles to Brightwood Rd. and Walmart/Giant Eagle Plaza

At traffic light turn right on to Brightwood Road, which begins to run parallel with the trolley tracks.

Cross over the tracks, turn left onto West Library Avenue.

The Bethel Park Public Library is located in the upper level of the Municipal Building.

West

Take Parkway West to I-79 South to the Kirwan Heights exit.

Turn right onto Route 50.

At the 1st traffic light turn left onto Vanadium Lane to Bower Hill Road.

Turn right onto Bower  Hill Road.

At 2nd traffic light, turn left onto Painters Run Road.

Continue until you reach Route 19 (Painters Run Road becomes Gilkeson Road at the 2nd traffic light).

Turn right onto Route 19 South.

Take Route 19 South to Fort Couch Road at South Hills Village.

Turn left onto Fort Couch Road.

At the 5th traffic light, turn left onto Bethel Church Road.

At the 3rd traffic light, turn right onto Highland Avenue.

At the 2nd stop sign, turn right onto West Library Avenue.

(prevailing time) on the first Thursday following the first working Wednesday of the month.

  • -Reserve requests – the general public may reserve currently checked out circulating materials.  The library may consider adding duplicate copies to satisfy the expressed demand. --
  • Purchase suggestions – Library users are encouraged to suggest titles and/or subjects that they would like to see in the collection.  Suggestions can be made to any staff member.  In such cases, the stated selection criteria will be taken into account.
  • Statement of Concern Regarding Library Materials – There may be occasions when a member of the community may be concerned about a particular item in the library’s collection.  If a patron wishes the library to reconsider material that is in the collection, a form (Appendix C) is available from the circulation desk.  This form must be completed in its entirety and returned to a library staff member.  Once the form is received, the Director will review the request, the item’s place in the collection, and reasons for including the item in the collection.  The Director will then contact the patron.  A copy of the letter will be filed and the Board of Trustees will be informed
